Download and Install Android 11 (MIUI 12) for Mi 10 Ultra (Cas)
The Xiaomi Mi 10 ultra (Codename: Cas) has also joined the list of Xiaomi smartphones that are receiving the new Android 11 based MIUI 12 update. Google already started pushing out the stable Android 11 update to all of its eligible Pixel smartphones, and a couple of other Android OEMs including Xiaomi has also kicked off the update roll out.
This is still an early Beta build of the MIUI 12 for Mi 10 ultra based on Google Android 11, so it might nit really be very stable and might contain a couple of bugs. Also, this update is mainly for users in China.
The new Android 11 based update is packed with the latest MIUI 12 and it is currently rolling out to a couple of users. Since this update is for the China version of MIUI, you have to make sure your phone is currently running the China stable MIUI version before you proceed, Below is a simple guide on how to confirm your phone's region.
- “MI” means Global Version-12.X.X.X(***MI**)
- “IN” means Indian Version-12.X.X.X(***IN**)
- “EU” means Europe Version-12.X.X.X(***EU**)
- “RU” means Russian Version-12.X.X.X(***RU**)
- “ID” means Indonesian Version-12.X.X.X(***ID**)

Requirements:
- China Beta stable Android 11 (MIUI 12) for Mi 10 ultra - Cas: Download HERE.
- Download the Recovery ROM from the link provided above and rename it to update.zip
- Make sure you download the right version for your phone region.
- Copy the downloaded file directly into your phone's internal storage.
- Turn off your phone.
- Reboot to recovery mode by pressing both the Power button and Volume Up button simultaneously.
- Navigate with your Volume up and down button, and use the power button for selecting an option.
- Select install update.zip and the update process will begin.
- Your phone will reboot once completed, but if it doesn't, just manually select reboot from the options.
Requirements:
- Make sure you have Twrp recovery installed or check the procedure HERE.
- Download the Recovery MIUI 12 firmware for your Xiaomi phone the LINK above.
- Make sure you download the right version for your phone region.
- Copy the downloaded file to your phone's internal storage.
- Back up your important phone data as you might loose it.
- Turn off your phone.
- Reboot to recovery mode by pressing both the Power up and Volume up button together.
- wipe system, data and cache but it is not compulsory (You will loose your files if you do so).
- Go back and click on install.
- Select the recovery ROM file you downloaded earlier and swipe right to begin the installation process.
- Once the installation is completed, your phone will reboot automatically.
- In case it doesn't reboot, just manually select reboot from the options.
