Download Global stable MIUI 12 (Android 10) for Redmi Note 8 (Ginkgo) [V12.0.3.0.QCOMIXM]

Update: 05/01/2021: A new version of the Global stable MIUI 12 is now available for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 (Codename: Ginkgo) with the codename: V12.0.3.0.QCOMIXM. This new version comes with a couple of bug fixes as well as the latest January 2021 Google Android security patch.

 The fastboot ROM for the new Global stable MIUI 12 update for Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 (Codename: Ginkgo) is now available. Aside the fastboot ROM, the recovery version of the ROM has also been released. At the moment, the update is currently rolling out via OTA to a couple of random users.

The stable MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 8 came a lot of later than initially scheduled and this was mainly due to the number of unexpected major bugs that were detected during the early testing stage. The bugs has however been fixed and public roll out has commenced.

The latest Global  stable MIUI 12 update for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Gingko comes with the build version number V12.0.1.0.QCOMIXM and it is based on the Google Android 10 operating system with the October 2020 Android security patch included. 

Even though the OTA update has already started rolling out, there are definitely a whole lot of users that are yet to receive this update. If you are yet to receive the update, you can either wait for OTA notification or manually download and install from the links provided below.

How to Manually check for MIUI 12 OTA update on your Xiaomi phone

• Go to settings.
• Tap on About phone >> Software Update
  

• Tap on the MIUI 11 Logo in the middle of the screen 10 times.
• After that, tap on the three dots at the top right corner of the screen.
• Tap on update settings and turn on Receive updates early.
  

• After that, Go back and tap on Check for updates.
  

• If you get No update available, then you have to either wait for the update to show up on your phone or download the ROM from the links below and follow the instructions HERE.to manually install the update.
