 The Redmi 9 (Codename: Lancelort) is one of those devices that are yet to get the new MIUI 12 update.The good news however is that a new Android update is being rolled out to the device and that is also based on MIUI Android 10 but with an updated security patch.

The Redmi 9 was launched about 2 months ago with the Android 10 based MIUI 11 out of the box. A new update is now rolling out for the device and it is still based on last year's MIUI 11. The new EEA (Europe) stable MIUI 11 update for Redmi 9 has the software version V11.0.5.0.QJCEUXM.

How to Manually check for OTA update on your Redmi 9
Not all Redmi 9 users are getting the new MIUI 11 update yet. You can however still check to know if the update is available for your own device yet by following the instruction below.

• Go to settings.
• Tap on About phone >> System update.
  

• click on Check for updates.
  
• If you get No update available, then you have to either wait for the update to show up on your phone or download the ROM from the links below and follow the instructions HERE.to manually install the update.
