Xiaomi officially confirms its Mi TV stick, expected to launch soon

Xiaomi might be very popular mainly because of its affordable Mi, Redmi and Poco smartphones, but the company also manufactures a whole lot of other products like power banks, vacuum cleaners, washing machine, TVs and many others. Now Xiaomi is adding one more product to its list and this time it is a TV stick called Mi TV Stick.

The new Mi TV Stick was recently teased by Xiaomi's senior PR and communications manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland Christian Klaus, at the Redmi Note 9 launch event which took place in Germany. Not much was said about the device other than the fact that it will be launched soon.

The Mi TV stick will most likely be competing with other similar products like the Roku Premiere and the Amazon Fire TV Stick. Going by the image released online, it will be a very portable HDMI streaming device which can be plugged directly to your HDMI supported TV.

The image also shows that the remote will most likely support Google Assistant as well as Netflix and Amazon prime video shortcuts. At the moment, we don't have much info on the specifications, pricing and availability of the upcoming Mi TV stick. It is however expected to launch soon alongside the Mi band 5.
