Global stable MIUI 12 now available for Mi 9T / Redmi K20 (Davinci), Mi 9T Pro and Mi 9 (V12.0.0.1.QFJMIXM)
Xiaomi unveiled the latest iteration of its Android skin MIUI 12 in China last month. The MIUI 12 was however just made available globally a few days ago, but only in Beta mode. Now the stable version of the Global MIUI 12 has started rolling out to some users of the MI 9T / K20 (Davinci), Mi 9T Pro / K20 Pro (Raphael) and the Mi 9 (Cepheus).
Earlier this month, Xiaomi opened up the Pilot program for Xiaomi users, especially Mi 9T users interested in testing the early version of the MIUI 12 before been released to all public users. This Pilot program pretty much replaced the Global beta program which was discontinued a long time ago. Now many of those who signed up for the program have started receiving the stable update.
The update which is around 655MB in size for the MI 9T / Redmi K20 has the software build version V12.0.0.1.QFJMIXM. The Mi 9T Pro (REdmi K20 Pro) and the MI 9 have also started receiving the update weighing in at 1.1 GB and 1 GB in size respectively, with the same version number V12.0.0.1.
Just like the MIUI 11, the new MIUI 12 is also based on the Google Android 10 OS. It however comes with a couple of improvements and new features like new dark mode with support for all third party apps, redesigned user interface, improved privacy settings and many more.
At the moment, only a few people are able to get the new MIUI 12 update, but Xiaomi will eventually roll it out to all users in the coming week if no major bug is reported from the Initial build
