Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro to launch on March 12 with 5020mAh battery and Quad camera

According to a teaser released by Xiaomi last week, the company will be releasing the newest version of its Redmi Note series smartphone by March 12. The phones which will be called the Redmi Note 9 and the Redmi Note 9 Pro, will be the successor to the Redmi Note 8 series.
The teaser image released shows that the phone will sport a quad rear camera setup, but there wasn't more information apart from that. A couple of leaks has however surfaced and this gives us a good glimpse on what to expect from the upcoming Redmi Note 9 series.

According to leaks and rumours, there will be a Redmi Note 9 Pro Max released alongside the regular Redmi Note 9 Pro. This means that we might be expecting a total of three smartphones instead of just two.

The leaks also suggests that the Pro version of the Redmi Note 9 will feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio as well as a hole-punch cutout to house the 16MP selfie camera. The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 720G chipset, coupled with a 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

As I mentioned earlier, the phone is expected to come with a quad rear camera setup just like its predecessor, but with a smaller 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP macro lens, and a depth camera. Under the hood will be a massive 5,020mAh battery powering the device with 18W fast charging. The leakster claims that the available color options for the Redmi Note 9 Pro will be Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black.

The information above are from leaksters, so take it with a pinch of salt, the official specs and images is expected to be announced at an online event on March 12.
