Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 is one of the latest addition to the Redmi Note series. The phone is pretty affordable with some great specs and very great camera. It however runs on an MTK chipset as compared to the Snapdragon used on many other Xiaomi smartphones.

Since most GCam modded apps works better on Snapdragon powered phones, the fact that the Redmi Note 8 Pro runs on MediaTek chipset means its not compatible with most of the available GCam Apps. Fortunately, wyroczen who happens to be a GCam dev has released the MGC_6.1_RN8P_Edition_4.6_STABLE which works with the Redmi Note 8 Pro and it's based on GCam 6.1.

GCam happens to be the stock camera app of the Google Pixel smartphone lineup and the App is mostly responsible for the awesome picture qualitiy of the Pixel smartphone camera. With GCam you will be able to shoot high quality HDR+ images on your smartphone. It also comes with some other features like HDR+ mode, Portrait mode, Slow motion mode, Lens Blur mode, Motion photos, and also Night Sight mode.
