Xiaomi to launch the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant of the Redmi K30 5G.
About a week ago, Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi unveiled its newest smartphones which are the Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 5G. The regular Redmi K30 is powered by Snapdragon 730G chipset while the Redmi K30 5G is powered by Snapdragon 765 chipset with an inbuilt 5G modem to give the phone 5G support.
At the launch event of the K30 series, Xiaomi mentioned that the maxed out version of the Redmi K30 5G will have 8GB RAM and 256GB expandable internal storage, but going by the recent listing on TENAA, there might also be a 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant of the K30 5G.
The device is currently one of the cheapest 5G smartphones starting at just around CNY2,899 ($410/€370) for the 8GB / 256GB version. The regular Xiaomi Redmi 4G is already on sale in China and expected to roll out to other countries soon while the Redmi K30 5G will go on sale starting from January of 2020.
