Xiaomi sold over 1 million unit Redmi Note 8 series in India in a month
The Xiaomi Redmi Note series is currently the most successful of all Xiaomi's line-up of smartphones. This is mainly due to its top of the line Mid-range specs coupled with a very affordable price tag.
Just like every Xiaomi Redmi Note smartphones in the past, the Redmi Note 7 series enjoyed a successful run early this year and Xiaomi hopes its latest Redmi Note 8 series will continue with that. This is however the case as the Redmi Note is currently experiencing massive sales.
Xiaomi just announced that it has managed to ship out over 1 million units of the Redmi Note 8 series in just India alone. This is according to an official post by Xiaomi VP Manu Kumar Jain. This consist of both the regular Snapdragon powered Redmi Note 8 and the more premium Redmi Note 8 Pro.
The Redmi Note 8 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 665 chipset coupled with a 6.65-inch Full HD+ IPS display. The phone features a quad rear camera setup which consists of a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth camera.
It also packs a 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charger out of the box.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro on the other hand is powered by Mediatek Helio G90T chipset. It however has a larger 4500mAh battery coupled with an 18W charger out of the box. It has a four rear camera setup with a primary 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera.
