Unofficial Twrp Recovery for Redmi Note 8 Pro (Begonia) - How to Install

When Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 8 Pro, a lot of users were worried that the smartphone won't get a whole lot of Dev support due to the Mediatek chipset used as MTK isn't really known for releasing source codes for their chipset.

Xiaomi has however released the source code for the device and development of ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries and more are expected to start rolling out. Now, We already have an unofficial Twrp recovery for the Redmi Note 8 Pro. This is your regular Twrp and it supports English and Chinese language as well as MTP.

How to Install

Requirements:

• Unlocked Bootloader: Check out detailed guide Here
• Adb/fastboot: Download Here
• Twrp for all Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro: Download from Here or Here

How to Flash/Install Twrp recovery on Redmi Note 8 Pro (Begonia)

• Make sure your bootloader is unlocked or click on this LINK for guide
• Install fastboot/ADB driver on your PC by clicking on this LINK
• Download the Twrp from the link provided above and rename it to twrp.img
• Copy the downloaded Twrp to the ADB folder inside the Hard drive on your PC (C:/ADB)
• Go to phone settings >> About >> Tap MIUI version 7 times
• Go back to phone settings >> Additional settings >> Developer options >> Enable Developer options
• Click on the start button on your computer, search and launch "Minimal ADB and fastboot"
• Then enter the command below and hit the enter key to reboot to fastboot mode

            adb reboot bootloader

                                OR


• Turn off your phone and reboot into fastboot mode manually by holding down the power button + volume down.
• Input the command below and hit the Enter key to flash Twrp on your phone

            fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

• If you get any error message like (twrp.img not found), then

            fastboot flash recovery (Then drag the Twrp recovery image file and drop it inside the Adb command windows, the hit the Enter Key)  

• Once the twrp has been succesfully flashed on your phone, enter the command below to rebooot to recovery

            fastboot boot twrp.img
