How to fix battery drain on MIUI 11 for Redmi K20 / Mi 9T (Davinci)

The official stable MIUI 11 update for the Xiaomi Redmi K20 also known as the MI 9T has already started rolling. The update is supposed to bring a whole lot of positive changes including better battery life.

There has however being a whole lot of negative reviews from many Redmi Redmi K20 / Mi 9T users who have upgraded to the latest version of MIUI 11. Many people have been complaining about sudden battery drain and shorter battery life after upgrading to the latest MIUI version.

This issue seems to be widespread as they have been a whole lot of complains from Davinci users. Xiaomi however hasn't released an official statement or fix for this issue yet but a Redditor seems to have the cause of this issue.

According to him, the latest MIUI 11 update puts all Apps on Auto-start and this is the main reason for the increase battery drain. Fortunately, there is a simple fix for this issue.

• Go to Settings -> Apps -> Manage Apps
• Click on Permissions, then Autostart.
