Pocophone has confirmed that the Poco F1 will receive MIUI 11 update
Xiaomi's new MIUI 11 Android skin was officially announced in China a few days ago and the company also released a list of 40 devices that are eligible to receive the update. The list included a whole lot of Mi and Redmi smartphones and the Pocophone F1 (also known as Poco F1) was actually missing from the list.
The Head of Pocophone Global Alvin Tse has however taken to Twitter to clear up the confusion and explain while the Poco F1 was not included in the list. According to him, the list released was only for Xiaomi smartphones launched in China in which Pocophone F1 isn't part of them.
POCO Fans, please don't worry. We will get MIUI 11 when it rolls out globally. #POCOF1— Alvin Tse (@atytse) September 25, 2019
The stable China version of the MIUI 11 is expected to begin rolling out by Mid-October and the Global stable version is expected to kick-off not long after. So if you happen to be a Poco F1 user, be rest assured that your device will receive the MIUI 11 update when the stable Global version starts rolling out.
