Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro Launched with Helio G90T and 64MP camera, Specs and Price in India, Europe
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro is a more expensive and better spec version of the Redmi Note 8 series. The device which was recently announced in China sports a Quad rear camera setup with a primary 64MP lens, as well as Mediatek Helio G90T chipset making it the first smartphone to use this chipset.
The phone comes with a 6.53 inches Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, a screen ratio of 19.5:9 and a pixel density of 395 ppi. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and it also has a water-drop notch which houses the front facing camera.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by Mediatek Helio G90T 12nm chipset with an Octa-core processor which comprises of 2 Cortex-A76 and 6 Cortex-A55 processors. You can get the phone with either a 6GB or 8GB RAM and a 64GB or 128GB expandable internal storage. The device also runs on MIUI 10 which is based on Android 9.0 Pie.
In terms of camera, the phone sports a quadruple rear camera setup with a 64 MP main camera lens, an 8 MP ultra-wide angle lens, 2MP macro lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. In the front is a single 20MP selfie camera with AI features and scene recognition mode.
The Note 8 comes with a pretty massive 4,500mAh battery which is 500mAh more than its predecessor. It also supports QC 4.0 fast charge with up to 18W. The phone has a 3.5mm audio jack and the fingerprint scanner is still mounted at the back of the phone, just below the camera lens.
As far as pricing goes, you will be able to get the base model of the Redmi Note 8 Pro with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage at CNY1,399 ($195/€175/Rs14,000) while the much higher model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will sell for CNY1,799 ($250/€225/Rs18,000). The phone will be available in Black, Green, and White color options and sales will begin in next month September.
