Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Launched - Full Specifications and Price in India, Europe
Xiaomi has finally released the successor to its Redmi Note 7 which is the Redmi Note 8. The Redmi Note 8 was recently unveiled in China and it is a major upgrade from the Note 7 in terms of design, chipset and camera.
The Redmi Note 8 sports a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of ~409 ppi. It also runs on Xiaomi's latest MIUI 10 which is based on Android 9.0 Pie.
Powering the Redmi Note 7 is Qualcomm's 11nm process Snapdragon 665 chipset which has an eight Kryo 260 cores that comprises of four 2.2 GHz processor, and four 1.8 GHz processor. The phone is available in 4GB and 6GB RAM version. You can also get it with either 64GB or 128GB internal storage.
On the back of the Redmi Note 8 is a quadruple camera setup which comprises of the main 48 MP camera with the latest Samsung ISOCELL GM2 sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2 MP dedicated macro camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor for portrait short. In the front of the device is a single 13 MP selfie camera which is housed in the water-drop notch.
In terms of battery, the phone packs the same 4,000mAh battery as its predecessor with support for 18W fast charging and a USB Type C port. The phone also still retains the 3.5mm headphone jack and the rear mounted fingerprint scanner.
The phone will be available in Black, White, and Dream Blue colour options. It will start at CNY999 ($140/€125/Rs10,000) for the 4/64 GB model, while the 6/64 GB goes for CNY1,199 ($167/€150/Rs12000) and the 6/128 GB model will sell for CNY1,399 ($195/€175/Rs14000).
