How to root and install Twrp on Redmi K20 Pro / MI 9T Pro (Raphael) and Redmi K20 / Mi 9T (Davinci)
This is a simple and straightforward guide for all Redmi K20 Pro users who wish to root their smartphone. You will learn how to easily install Twrp recovery on your phone and also how to flash Magisk to gain root access.
The Redmi K20 Pro is a Snapdragon 855 powered smartphone which is available in both 6GB and 8GB memory configurations. It also comes with either 128GB or 256GB storage options. The procedure below will use the popular Magisk as well as Twrp.
If you have a custom recovery installed already, then you are good to go. If you don't have a Twrp recovery installed already, then you will most likely need a PC for that. The fill procedure is explained below.

How to Install Twrp amd Root Redmi K20 Pro/Mi 9T Pro and K20 / Mi 9T
- Download the Magisk and no-verity zip from the link above and copy it to your phone internal storage
- Download the Twrp from the link provided above and rename it to twrp.img
- copy the twrp to your ADB folder inside your hard drive (C:/ drive)
- Turn off your phone and reboot into fastboot by holding down the power button + volume down
- Input the command below to flash Twrp on your phone
- Once the twrp has been successfully flashed on your phone, enter the command below to reboot to recovery
- In Twrp, click on install and locate the magisk zip file
- Select the file
- Untick "Reboot after installation is complete" and swipe right to flash
- After installation has completed, click on install again and select the "no-verity" file
- After installation, reboot to system
- After rebooting, go ahead and install Magisk manager if it hasn't been installed already.

fastboot boot twrp.img
