Xiaomi to end MIUI Global Beta program on all it's devices by July 1
Xiaomi's normally releases it's MIUI firmware updates in two different versions which are the stable version and beta version. Just like the name implies, the stable version is the stable update which Xiaomi rolls out after all bugs has been fixed, while the beta version are the early updates which are being rolled out for user's feedback.
Xiaomi has however just announced via the MIUI forum that it will stop the global beta MIUI update across all of it's devices starting from July 1. The company has been rolling out quite a large number of new smartphones and this new move will help reduce the workload done by the developers.
Aside that, Xiaomi also mentioned that most of the beta users are now using the beta version of MIUI as their daily drivers and they are not even reporting bugs as expected, this defeats the purpose of the beta version and it is also one of the reasons for this decision.
This new development will not have any negative effect on the roll out of the stable MIUI updates. This announcement is coming just few days after Xiaomi also announced that beta updates will be stopped on all devices after a year of release.
