Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S officially launched in India, Full Specifications and Price

Xiaomi has been gaining lots of grounds in the smartphone market, both in India and also globally. The company's success is associated mainly to its best budget smartphones which gives you great specs at an affordable rate. Recently, Xiaomi announced that it has sold over 2 million units of the new Redmi Note 7 in a period of just 2 months.

Even with the success of the Indian version of the Redmi Note 7, a lot of users still crave for the Chinese Redmi Note 7 Pro which has a similar spec and design as India's Redmi Note 7 but with a 48MP main camera instead of the 12MP in the Indian version. Xiaomi has therefore decided to launch another version of the Redmi Note 7 in Indian and it is called the Redmi Note 7S.

The Redmi Note 7S was launched in India yesterday May 21 and it comes with exactly the same specs and design as the regular Redmi Note 7 but with a 48MP camera. The phone comes with a  a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and 409ppi pixel density. 

The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 660 chipset with an octa-core processor, clocked at 2.2 GHz and coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. It is available in 3GB and 4GB RAM options as well as 32GB and 64GB expandable internal storage configuration.

In terms of camera, the device sports a dual rear camera setup with a primary 48MP lens with, 1/2″ sensor size, 0.8μm pixels, f/1.8 aperture and Super Night Mode, it also has a secondary 5MP camera for depth sensor. The main 48MP camera uses  4-in-1 Super Pixel technology which means images will be interpolated and saved in 12MP size. In the front of the phone is a 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The battery still remains the same, The Redmi Note 7S comes with a 4,000mAh battery with support for Qualcomm quick charge 4.0 and it also comes with a USB Type-C 5V/2a fast charger out of the box. It runs on Xiaomi's MIUI 10 which is based Android 9.0 Pie.

As far as pricing goes, the 3GB RAM/32GB storage version of the Redmi Note 7S is starting at  ₹10,999 while the 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage version is going for  ₹12,999. The phone will go on sale starting from May 23 and it will be available at  Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home retail stores, and a range of Xiaomi-authorized online stores.
