Xiaomi Mi A3 and A3 Lite will be powered by Snapdragon 700 series chipset
The next generation of the Xiaomi's Android One smartphone line is just a couple of months away from it's official launch There haven't been many leak out there on what to expect from the devices but there is a new rumour that gives an hint on what to expect in terms of the processor.
According to a recent tweet by
XDA Editor-in Chief, Mishaal Rahman, he claimed that the upcoming Xiaomi Android one devices which will allegedly be called the Mi A3 and Mi A3 lite will both be powered by the Snapdragon 700 series chipset.
He wasn't specific on the particular chipset that will be used so it can either be Snapdragon 710, 712 or the higher 730. He also claimed that the third smartphone which will most likely be the successor to the Mi 6x will also be powered by a Snapdragon 700 series SOC.
Going by previous records, the two Android one devices which are codenamed
“bamboo_sprout” and “cosmos_sprout” will run on Android Stock ROM while the third device which is codenamed “pyxis will have exactly the same specs and design as the
“bamboo_sprout” but it will run on xiaomi's MIUI skin instead.
Remember that this are just rumours for now and this information might likely change before the official launch which will come up in a few months time. Since last years Mi A2 and Mi 6x were both launched in July, we will expect the Mi A3 series and the Mi 6x successor to be launched around the same time this year.
