Xiaomi is reportedly working on two flagship Snapdragon 855 Smartphones with pop-up cameras
In a bid to make smartphones fully bezeless, manufacturers have been experimenting different designs and innovations which includes notches, camera cutout, sliding mechanism, popup cameras and a couple of others. Xioami is also not left behind as it's one of the brands that started the bezeless design on its original MI Mix device.
Latest report has it that Xiaomi is currently working on two flagship smartphones that will feature the pop-up camera design. Although we don't know the names of the smartphones yet, rumours have it that the devices will be code named “davinci” and “raphael”. This is the first time Xiaomi will be adopting this technology on any of its smartphones. Last year, the company did something similar on its Mi Mix 3 but it was a sliding camera mechanism.
Some pictures showing what might be the next Xiaomi pop-up camera smartphone have already surfaced on Weibo, but we don't know how reliable the source it and how authentic the pictures are. As I mentioned earlier, there is no report on which Xiaomi upcoming flagship will feature the pop-up camera but it's expected to be one of either the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3s, Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, POCO F2, Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro, or any other Xiaomi-branded flagship with the Snapdragon 855.
